How does an oxygen generator work?

The principle of oxygen generator or oxygen concentrator. Recently, many people are consulting about oxygen generator information. Here is a special introduction to the working principle of the oxygen generator machine. It turns out that in the air we usually breathe, oxygen only accounts for (20%) and nitrogen accounts for (78%) and other gases account for (1%). The principle of an industrial oxygen generator is to filter out the nitrogen in the air, thereby obtaining more oxygen from the air. To be precise, it cannot be said to be an “oxygen concentrator”, it should be called an “oxygen concentrator”! It should be known that this oxygen concentrator (referred to as oxygen generator machine) mainly uses (PRESSURE SWING ABSORPTION PSA) to separate oxygen and nitrogen in the air! Therefore, two sets of “molecular sieves” are installed. The molecular sieve in this oxygen generator machine uses ZEOLITE sieve strips. The PSA method is used under the pressure of 4.3BAR to filter and separate the nitrogen with two molecular sieve tanks. Finally, oxygen with an oxygen purity of 93% (above) is obtained. I want to emphasize this, it is impossible to force the oxygen generator machine to produce oxygen! It only separates and filters out oxygen. Oxygen can only be obtained according to the capacity of the molecular sieve of the machine itself. The molecular sieve is big enough to get 10L liters of oxygen per minute. Some people say that the heavier the machine, the more oxygen it can get? There seems to be some truth. However, if the machine is overloaded and reaches the saturation point, it will become hot. Therefore, after long-term use, the machine must be shut down and the machine rested. The concentrated oxygen is then passed through the water (make it not dry?) and then inhaled through a nasal cannula.

Precautions for using oxygen generator machine:

1. If you are not at home, you still need to wear a mask on top of the nasal cannula;

2. Beside the oxygen concentrator machine, no smoking, no lighting, no matches;

3. The oxygen concentrator must be placed in a ventilated place. If the air is not circulating, the machine will get hot and hot;

4. The molecular sieve of the oxygen generator must be cleaned regularly, and the molecular sieve must be kept clean before it can output enough oxygen;

5. The oxygen generator machine has 5 adjustment switches, you must read the manual carefully and choose the correct adjustment position;

6. Although it can be shared by two people, it is easy to cause cross-infection of CROSS-INFECTION, so it must be used with caution;

What is the difference between oxygen generator and oxygen tank:

1. The oxygen tank is liquid medical oxygen, which can produce 99% pure oxygen; a good oxygen generator machine can only produce (90%-95%) oxygen;

2. When the oxygen tank is used up, it must be re-oxygenated; while the oxygen concentrator can produce oxygen continuously (as long as it is continuously powered);

3. Oxygen concentrator can be used for blood oxygen above 92% after the diagnosis of COVID-19. 5L or 10L oxygen concentrator machine is sufficient; if the SPO2 blood oxygen is below 92%, the amount of oxygen required will increase. If the epidemic situation is severe and emergency patients need oxygen (40L to 50L or more) in one minute, the oxygen concentrator machine will not work, and LMO oxygen tanks must be used instead.
